Assessments can help organizations learn and discover information about challenges or opportunities.
With assessments, organizations can more quickly narrow down on action items to address their most pressing needs.
Check out our short videos below that describes the entire process.
Video #1: Introduction to Assessments.
So, you might be interested in doing an assessment at your organization. This short introductory video answers the two burning questions:
1. What is an assessment?
2. Why should you do an assessment?
I also add a "bonus tip" on how to get greater buy-in for your assessment.
Video #2: Tips to set your data collection up for success.
Congrats! You've made the choice to do an assessment! So, what can you do to ensure that your assessment runs more smoothly?
Check out these four recommendations to do before you start collecting data, including:
1. Clear and crisp reason for the assessment
2. Choose your participants wisely
3. Use multiple inputs (e.g. surveys and interviews)
4. Communicate!
Video #3: Smooth Sailing Assessments -
What happens during assessment data collection?
Now that you've done the prework prior to data collection (see video #2 above), it's time to gather the information from your assessment participants.
This video describes what you might expect when executing the survey and performing interviews.
Video #4: The Assessment Report and Readout
After all data have been collected, it's time to run the analysis, create the report, and share the results.
This video describes what happens when creating the report from the survey and interview data.
Because the report reflects what is seen and heard, which may or may not align with your current opinions, a readout workshop is needed. You'll discuss the themes of challenges and/or opportunities plus identify actionable next steps.
